IMAGES OF HONDA’S updated CR-V have been let out ahead of the car’s Japanese launch on September 17, showing mild styling revisions are in store for the marque’s popular softroader.The side sheetmetal and headlight shapes carry over, but the front bumper, grille and bonnet are new. The 2010 Honda CR-V also receives new 17 and 18-inch alloy wheels.

For the European market, the 2010 Honda CR-V will be offered in base SE, mid-range ES and top-spec EX variants. New technologies introduced to the 2010 Honda CR-V include adaptive cruise control and a collision-detecting crash avoidance system, both of which are optional on the EX grade model.

Cabin fabrics and plastics are upgraded, and a new centre stack design will house the 2010 Honda CR-V’s audio system and ventilation controls. Improved sound deadening is claimed to lower noise from the engine and the outside environment, which, in Honda’s words, makes the 2010 Honda CR-V “an even quieter and more relaxing car to drive”.

The Euro-spec CR-V will offer a new 110kW 2.2 lite i-DTEC diesel engine, which produces a sizable 350Nm of torque from 2000rpm and comes with the option of a manual or five-speed automatic gearbox. All engines in the 2010 Honda CR-V range will be Euro V emissions compliant.

The Ferrari Enzo is named after the company’s father, Enzo Ferrari. Why? Well, the Enzo was the best Ferrari production car of its time. The team then decided to name it FERRARI ENZO.

The first thing that I want you to know about the Enzo is that is a Ferrari. Car enthusiasts wouldn’t care what model you have as long as it is a Ferrari. The second is about its aerodynamic de experience sign. The Enzo’s aerodynamic design is inspired by the Ferrari F1. Yes. The driving feels the same as the F1’s. It even has the Ferrari technology that has been restricted from F1 because of its advantage over the other participants. The Enzo is mostly carbon-fiber in material. Even some parts of the dashboard!

Let me take you inside of it.

Here is a picture of the steering wheel.

Look closely. It has those tiny buttons. If you are not a car enthusiast, you would think that those are just Ferrari rubbish. Well, they’re not. The button that is least pressed is the RACE button. You might ask why. Well, it’s for you to find out.

The next thing is its transmission. It is semi-automatic and is paddle-operated. That’s what makes it like an F1! Paddle-operated transmission!

Well, this review has been about the Ferrari Enzo and the Maserati MC12. Why? Because they are brothers! Maserati was under the Ferrari’s management when the MC12 was conceptualized and produced. And as I’ve said, they share the same DNA. They share almost the same V12 engine, suspension design and carbon chassis with aluminum cradles at either end, mid-engined rear-wheel drive set-up and the six speed sequential paddle-shifts.

Compared to the digital Ferrari Enzo, the Maserati MC12 is analog. The MC12 was conceptualized and produced during the time when Maserati was under Ferrari’s supervision.

Hmm. Do you think you’ve seen this interior before? Maybe. It’s almost the same as the Enzo’s! It also has that paddle-operated transmission! See the difference? The Enzo is digital while the MC12 is analog! Look closely to compare the MC12’s dials with the Enzo’s! They’re almost the same!

Honda Jazz Sport, Music, Holiday 2010 India : Honda Jazz’s various iterations in Auto Expo

Honda Jazz Sport Car Edition

The Honda Jazz dismal sales figures due to it’s exorbitant price tag is out for all to see. Honda, on the other hand are still persisting with their Jazz and they showcased three new versions of which two will make it to the Indian car market. First up is the Honda Jazz Mugen Sport model which features a very sweet 1.5 Liter petrol VTEC engine.

This kitted out Honda Jazz Sport looks like a seriously good performer as Japanese tuning specialists, Mugen have worked their magic, both on the engine as well as the body and aesthetics. This car however is a one off show special and won’t make it to the Honda showrooms across India.

Honda Jazz Music Edition

Next up is the Honda Jazz Music Model which is nothing more than a sticker job of musical notes, adorning the Honda Jazz’s side flanks and rear. The Jazz Music might feature a few nifty features in the car audio department. However, we couldn’t sop any such embellishment in the Honda Jazz Music model that was displayed at the 2010 Auto Expo.

Honda Jazz Holiday Model

Last but not the least, is the Honda Jazz Holiday Model which comes with a redesigned front bumper that makes it look just that bit different from the bog standard Honda Jazz versions currently on sale. This version too gets plenty of stickers to make it stand out amongst the crowd and we have to admit, all those stickers made the Honda Jazz Holiday look pretty cool.

That said, we feel a sizable price cut from Honda Siel India will work better to spur the Honda Jazz sales on, rather than these showy sticker jobs to garner attention.

Honda At The 2010 Auto Expo

Honda by far has the most bland display at the 2010 Auto Expo. Other than CR-Z Concept and a few versions of the Jazz (Holiday, Music and Mugen) there was really nothing much to see except maybe their small car concept (check it out here). Mr. Asimo made a guest appearance as well.

The Ford Reflex (or REFL3X, as spelled on the vehicle nameplate) is a concept car introduced at the 2006 North American International Auto Show that, according to Ford, “proves small cars can be bold and American”. It is a technological showcase that includes solar panel-powered headlights, integrated child seat, baby cam with a monitor mounted on the dash, inflatable rear safety belts, and an interior quieted by ground rubber taken from Nike athletic shoe outsoles.

A production version of the Reflex design has not yet been announced. It features an advanced diesel-electric hybrid engine with new-generation lithium ion batteries that help deliver up to 65 mpg–U.S. (3.62 L/100 km / 78.1 mpg–imp) of diesel fuel, and can accelerate the vehicle from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 7 seconds.

The concept features an electric motor on the rear axle in addition to its hybrid propulsion system on the front axle. The rear motor provides all wheel drive capability, improved driving dynamics, and the fuel economy benefits of a full hybrid vehicle. Reflex’s energy is stored in a new-generation lithium-ion battery pack, using the same technology found in cell phones. Ford was the first manufacturer to produce an electric vehicle using this type of battery system when it introduced the electric Ford Ka research vehicle in 2000. Also contributing to Reflex’s power and performance are unique headlamps and taillamps that integrate solar panels. The Ford-patented battery-charging lighting system improves fuel economy by using the sun’s power to charge the on-board batteries, while capturing and reusing the daylight at night.

The Reflex features 2+1 seating, with a center-mounted rear “love seat” for 2 children or one adult, that also includes a fold-out rear facing child seat. “Ford Reflex is a small car that doesn’t feel small,” says Freeman Thomas, director, Ford North American Strategic Design. “It is a gorgeous sporty car that delivers guilt free performance with a hybrid engine. And thanks to its innovative approach to the interior, it has space for growing families.

New York: Spyker C8 Aileron makes North American debut

Dutch car manufacturer Spyker unveiled its updated version of the C8, the Aileron, last month in Geneva, but the U.S. is getting its first look at the quirky supercar in New York. While the car doesn't look like that much different than its predecessor, Spyker claims to have made some fairly significant changes including an all-new, lengthier space-frame chassis and more interior space. Power is once again sourced from Audi, coming in the form of a naturally aspirated 4.2-liter V8 producing 400 horsepower and 354 lb-ft torque. Hyundai Equus coming to the U.S. in two-to-three years?

Citing an unnamed source "close to the project," InsideLine is reporting that Hyundai plans to bring the Equus super-sedan to the States within the next two to three years. According to the insider, "... you wouldn't be too far off if you said the car was coming to the United States. Our chairman wants it."

Although the news doesn't come as a complete surprise, particularly considering Hyundai brought out an Equus to this week's New York Auto Show, the biggest hurdle to overcome is price. In its current form, the Equus starts at around $96,000, putting it squarely up against such high-dollar machinery as the Audi A8, BMW 7 series, Lexus LS and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Hyundai knows it's not ready to swim with the whale sharks of the luxury world, so it's hoping to get the sticker closer to $50,000 when equipped with the automaker's 5.0-liter V8 and new eight-speed transmission.

The McLaren SLR isn't the most conventional platform on which to create a racecar, but when everything is said and done, it sure looks the part. The New Jersey Motorsports Park brought one such example, dubbed the SLR 722 GT, to showcase in their display here at the New York Auto Show. Florida-based tuner RENNtech is solely responsible for importing any examples here to the States from Europe for a small fee of $1.2 million.

Each SLR 722 GT is built by British motorsports specialists RML Group and features more than 400 unique components compared to the road going version including FIA-spec safety equipment, a fully adjustable suspension, upgraded brakes, carbon fiber bodywork, a towering rear wing, full race interior, and much more. Engine output is increased to 670 horsepower thanks to a race-only exhaust, and shifting is done solely by paddles behind the carbon fiber steering wheel. BMW to Exhibit X3 xDrive20d Rescue Vehicle in Geneva

One of less significant premieres of next week's Geneva Auto Show will be the BMW X3 xDrive20d emergency rescue vehicle that is making its first public appearance as the Bavarian automaker wants to show off its special-purpose vehicles. The X3 medical emergency vehicle is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine that develops an output of 177HP offering an average fuel consumption of 6.5 lt /100km which is equal to 34.6mpg US.

Like any emergency rescue vehicle, the X3 is fitted with a special roof-mounted alarm system, including a blue light, an electronic siren, and an LED display with the word NOTARZT ("emergency doctor"). Furthermore, there are two flashing lights are inside the boot, which when opened, provide sufficient warning to oncoming traffic.

Inside, the X3's cabin has been converted for medical use featuring among other things, a sturdy metal dividing frame between the luggage space and passenger cabin, a mounting for the radio device, which includes a power supply and a rest for the hand unit, as well as a charging point in the luggage area.

VW Mid-Engine Roadster to Spawn SEAT and Skoda Variants

Citing inside sources, German car magazine 'Auto Motor und Sport' is reporting that the VW Group is planning to introduce SEAT and Skoda variants of its forthcoming mid-engine roadster that will be based on theBlueSport concept unveiled at this year's Detroit Auto Show. Due to arrive sometime in 2012, VW's edition of the roadster will most likely be offered with the firm's TSI / TFSI gasoline and TDI diesel engines.

While a SEAT variant of the mid-engine roadster sounds logical given that the Spanish brand is supposed to be somewhat sporty (as long as it comes with a unique styling and a lower price tag than the VW's proposal), a Skoda version doesn't really make much sense in our opinion.

The Czech automaker has made a name for itself as a producer of reasonably priced family cars and we can't see how a two-seater roadster fits into this image. Unless VW has other plans for Skoda, producing a third variant (maybe even forth if Audi gets its own version) will only confuse the Group's buyers and most probably, lure away customers from SEAT

TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION (TMC) announces its production and sales subsidiary in India unveiled today—under the banner: “World First, India First”—a concept version of the “Etios*”, a compact car newly developed specifically for the Indian market. Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private, Ltd. (TKM) is showing the concept car at the 10th Auto Expo automobile show in New Delhi, which runs until January 11.

The Etios is aimed at family users in India’s rapidly growing automobile market. Reflecting its “one class above” theme, the Etios’ styling evokes a sense of advanced status, and, along with a spacious interior with abundant storage space, it aims to offer both smooth and powerful driving and excellent fuel efficiency. To make the car as affordable as possible for potential customers, thorough use of local parts will be pursued to keep costs low. On display at the show are a sedan version with a newly developed 1.5-liter gasoline engine and a hatchback version with a newly developed 1.2-liter gasoline engine.

Etios chief engineer, Yoshinori Noritake, said at the show: “I visited many Indian cities and homes to learn the market and to hear from the consumer directly. Over four years, more than 2,000 engineers have been involved in the development of the Etios, and each has devoted his or her best effort with no compromises. I am convinced in my heart that the Etios offers joy of ownership and quality of life to consumers in India.”

TKM will produce the Etios from late 2010 at its second plant, which is now being built expressly for the new car. Annual sales in India are set at 70,000 units. Exports are planned.

At the show, the TKM exhibit, with its key message of “Quality Revolution”, comprises a total of 14 production and concept vehicles, including the third-generation “Prius” gasoline-electric hybrid passenger car, which is scheduled to go on sale in India in 2010, the “Prado” SUV recently unveiled for the Indian market, the “i-REAL” personal mobility vehicle and the “Fine-S” fuel-cell hybrid vehicle.

The previous version of the Honda Stream was briefly available in the UAE, offering minivan space in the body of a tall wagon, but it was cancelled a long time ago. The latest version of the Stream is going strong in Japan though, and Honda is offering a Mugen body kit for it, in true Honda-fanboy fashion.

The all-show-and-no-go Mugen kit consists of new front and rear bumpers, side skirts, rear spoiler and alloy wheels, among a few other trim upgrades.

The standard engines include 1.8-litre and 2.0-litre 4-cylinder units, derived from those available in various Honda Civic models, on which the Stream is based.

Cars You Can't Have Wrap-up: Nissan, Honda, Mitsubishi, Scion, Mercedes

I'm cleaning out the to-post folder here at DTHQ, and there are a few more cars you can't have, plus one I can [HAH!]:

First off, the new Scion xB, called the Toyota bB in Japan, is just pimpy enough, I might have to buy up a few of the old ones and sock them away. I'll start vacuuming the change out of the sofa cushions.

The I may be unsearchable on Google, but it sure stands out in the otherwise crappy-looking lineup on Mitsubishi's website. It's basically the Pontiac Solstice of the company, a 4-door Smart knock-off [1] that makes you wonder where it came from, but I think I works. I works. Get it??

The Honda Stream looks great enough to turn my head after a week of sightings. Parking it next to an over-the-top Hong Kong wedding being documented by three professional camera crews, and juxtaposing it with a pink and purple Rolls Royce covered with plastic flowers--all under a freeway overpass--also helps:

Alright, so this picture of the Nissan El Grand, or as I call it, the Nissan Manvan, is from last summer in Tokyo, but they're still all over the place. Japanese mooks can customize everything from grill to the tailpipes on their Darth Vadermobiles. If this van's a rockin', don't come a knockin'. Or they'll cut your pinky off, too.

And last but not least, the car that started it all: the Mercedes B-class. I saw one on the first, camera-less morning on the ground in Kyoto, but I didn't get a clean shot at one until Hong Kong. It's bigger than I thought [I guess I'm an A-class lover at heart], but it still rocks. Never mind that it costs 3-4 Scion Units to get one in Canada.

I searched around, and ultimately found one to rent in France next week from Sixt, the Hertz of Germany. Booking through the US reservations line as a United frequent flyer gave us a phenomenally low rate, no mileage restrictions, and no additional driver fees. Look for a full report when we get back. One down, 29 to go.

The SL 63 AMG Edition IWC will be the first vehicle to be offered with the all-new designo magno Kashmir white finish. The front axle is equipped with internally ventilated, perforated composite disc brakes (390 x 36 mm) that keep braking distances to a minimum and ensure the vehicle is extremely resistant to fading. Handling is further enhanced by other technical features from the Performance package, including a rear-axle, multi-disc limited-slip differential with a lock factor of 40 percent, as well as an AMG Performance chassis equipped with Active Body Control.

The drive system of the SL 63 AMG Edition IWC will provide motorists with an exhilarating driving experience. Boasting a top output of 386 kW/525 hp and a maximum torque of 630 Nm, the AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine is augmented by an extremely responsive partner in the shape of the all-new AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT seven-speed sports transmission. The SL 63 AMG Edition IWC accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, while its top speed is electronically limited to 300 km/h.

Along with the vehicle, buyers of the SL 63 AMG Edition IWC will also receive a limited edition model of IWC's "Grosser Ingenieur" watch. This precious chronometer has a stainless steel housing measuring an impressive 45.5 millimetres in diameter. The design of the watch's wristband and face compliment the vehicle concept. Mercedes-AMG has been collaborating with the time-honoured Swiss watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen since 2004. In October of that year, the two companies presented their first jointly designed vehicle, the CLS 55 AMG "IWC Engineer."

Customers will be able to order the SL 63 AMG Edition IWC beginning in fall 2008 and vehicle deliveries will commence in November 2008. The model will be limited to 200 units.

The Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series is making its global debut at the New York International Auto Show, open to the public April 6-15, 2007 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in Manhattan. Teamed with the CL65 AMG 40th Anniversary edition (a larger coupe also being unveiled in New York), the CLK63 AMG Black Series coupe celebrates 40 years of AMG high-performance cars.

The CLK63 Black Series is a street legal version of the Official F1™ Safety Car, which borrows design and technology from the Formula One racing world. For starters, the Black Series is a 500 horsepower version of the AMG 6.3-liter V8 engine, with 0-60 mph acceleration of 4.1 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 186 mph.

The new Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster combines high-tech from motor racing and the power of a top high-performance sports car with the long-distance attributes and sophisticated atmosphere of a classic Gran Tourismo car. In common with Formula 1 vehicles of today, it too is made of carbon fibre, a material that endows the vehicle with a very high degree of safety as well as extreme torsional stiffness at the same high level as the coupé. In combination with the racing-type chassis this gives rise to outstanding ride characteristics. The maximum speed of the new high-performance sports car, which is powered by an AMG V8 compressor engine delivering 460 kW/626 hp, is 332 km/h and therefore at the same high level as the Coupé. Although the Roadster offers undiluted open-top driving pleasure in the highest performance class thanks to its fully retractable top, the occupants in no way lose out in terms of comfort or the vehicle’s suitability for everyday use. The Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR was intended to enter in the 1997 FIA GT Championship sportscar racing world championship series, known as BPR Global GT Series up to 1996. To be allowed to do so, 25 cars had to be built for the GT1 class. Porsche 911 GT1, McLaren F1, Ferrari F40 and others were already competing there, Nissan R390 GT1 and Toyota GT-One joined in later, at the 1998 24 Hours of Le Mans.

As the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft/ITC had folded in late 1996, with both remaining competitors Opel and Alfa Romeo leaving due to the high costs of their 4WD designs, Mercedes had no top series to compete in. FIA gave a special permission to enter their new FIA GT championship in 1997 with a new sportscar even without the required 25 cars in existence yet. These had to be presented later, though.

Future Mercedes-Benz SLC Gullwing Caught Testing In The Wild

There's been rumors circulating for some time now that Mercedes-Benz is in the process of resurrecting the legendary Gullwing, but up until now, photographic evidence has revealed little about the model. Today, however, that's all about to change, as we have some incredible shots showcasing the model from a number of different angles. To my knowledge, it's the fist time the new Gullwing doors have been caught on camera.

Aside from the photos, facts about the Mercedes SLC remain scarce. Most speculate the model will be priced above the next SL range but well below the current SLR (somewhere in the neighborhood of $200,000), with power expected to come from AMG's 6.3-Liter V8 boasting an enhanced output of around 600 horsepower.

At this point, however, it's still anyone's guess what the final specifications will be. We will of course keep you posted if we hear anything new; in the meantime, keep scrolling to see the Mercedes-Benz SLC Gullwing spy photo collection in its entirety (click any picture to enlarge).

2008 Honda Civic Type RR

Honda has just announced that the Mugen version of the Honda Civic Si will be sold on our shores this fall. Although the car has a modified body, suspension and new wheels the car has been criticized for not having any real performance gains over the regular Civic Si. Well if you live in Japan you can actually buy a more powerful Civic from your local Honda dealer.

On September 13th Honda is going to release another version of the Civic dubbed the Honda Civic Type RR, in Japan. Japan already has a more powerful version of the Civic that we don't get here in the US, the Civic Type-R. The Type-R is already more powerful than our Si model with 225HP and 158 lb-ft of torque. The new Type RR version will come with even more power at 240HP and 160 lb-ft of torque. The estimated 0-60 mph time for the more powerful version is 5.8 sec.

The RR version of the Civic is 22lbs lighter and gets a dual exhaust system. The car also has a modified suspension and braking system thanks to Mugen.

So what is the catch? Well the car lists for $40,000! Honda has stated that the Civic Si Mugen that we are getting this fall will start just shy of $30,000. Well $40,000 probably would be too much for a Civic, even if it has 43 more horsepower than the regular Si version. That probably explains why Honda is only going to make 300 of these cars and in only one color, red.

Honda will unveil the next generation (ninth) Civic in 2010. Here is an exclusive rendering of what reports suggest the future car may looks like. Based on the OSM Concept unveiled by Honda at the British Motor Show, the future little Honda will likely look more aggressive in its European form and hopefully this look will s----over into North America.

Although Honda has not announced plans to bring the hatchback version of the Civic back to the U.S., we chose this rendering to give us all something to drool over. For Euro Civic fans, sources indicate that the future Civic hatchback will carry over the current single strip light cluster at the rear, but the split rear screen has been dropped to improve visibility.

Honda currently makes two different versions of the Civic. Just like the Accord, the car offered in Europe is a different design and rides on a different platform. The last two generations of the Civic in the U.S. have taken the car away from the youth and turned it into mom and pop’s second car. Gone are the days of the performance-oriented double-wishbone front suspension (2001), instead we get more interior room. It may be reliable, but it lost most of its passion.

The true hope is that with the 2010 update, we will get back the hatchback or at least something similar to the sporty design from our rendering of Honda’s own OSM Concept. Honda make it dependable, but make sure it has a pulse.

Ladies and Gentlemen: This is what the all-new UK-built 2010 Honda Civic hatchback is apparently going to look like. According to AutoExpress, these exclusive shots show how the popular hatch will look when the next generation Civic hits showrooms in 2010.

Looking less like a space-ship than the current model, the futuristic looking hatch draws many of its design cues from the recent Honda OSM (‘Open Study Model’) concept car which made an appearance at the British Motor Show.

The shape of the 'new' Civic is identical to the OSM including the single strip light cluster at the rear and even the projector style wheels with the only noticeable difference being a hard-top roof that extends to the rear hatchback style, two extra air intakes in the front bumper and a fuel cap on the left-hand side of the vehicle.

The new Civic will compete with the VW Scirocco in the hatchback ‘coupé’ segment aimed at younger buyers. A series of new generation engines will also feature in the 2010 Civic line-up including a 1.5-litre IMA hybrid engine developing more than 110 kW (150 bhp) and sub-CO2 120g/km emissions will appear.

The best piece of news for hot-hatch lovers is that the 2010 Civic Type R is rumoured to be powered by a 2.0-litre i-VTEC engine which could be boosted by an electric motor thus making it a sports-hybrid.

Adding yet another ute to our list of grey market cars we pine for, the UK-built beast known as the Honda Civic Type R hatch will be joining Honda’s Japanese lineup in 2010. Manufactured in Swindon, England, the 2010 Honda Civic Type R is the three-door cousin to the equally as menacing Type R saloon and, to differentiate it from its 4-door companion, will come bearing the “EURO” tag.

Like the Type R saloon, the EURO will come equipped with Honda’s famed 2.0L i-VTEC 4-banger, conservatively rated at 198-horsepower and 142 lb-ft of torque. Top speed is electronically limited to 146 mph and the sprint from 0-60 mph can be achieved in just 6.6 seconds. Production of the Civic Type R EURO will be limited to an as-yet-undisclosed number, and pricing is expected to fall somewhere in the Type R saloon’s ¥1,000,000 yen/$18,000 USD range.

Although there has been talk of a Type R Filthy Westerner edition, Honda made no mention of any U.S. exportation plans in the press release. So, excluding any events pertaining to or occurring during WWII, consider the score now Japan: 2, US: 0.

The Civic Si Sedan Concept provides strong hints of the styling and performance for a production Civic Si Sedan scheduled to go on sale this fall, marking the first time that "Si" performance has become available in the Civic Sedan. Similar to the recently introduced Civic Si Coupe, the production Civic Si Sedan will serve as another performance leader for the Civic line-up with a 197-horsepower (147 kW), 16-valve, DOHC i-VTEC engine with an 8,000 rpm redline, mated to a close-ratio, 6-speed manual transmission. Helping to put all that power to the ground is a helical-type, limited slip differential for improved traction and cornering performance.

The Civic Si Sedan Concept features custom 18-inch cast aluminium alloy wheels, 225/40ZR18 high-performance tires, and 4-wheel disc brakes with large cross-drilled brake rotors and 4-piston Brembo callipers.

"The Civic Si Sedan Concept demonstrates how the high-performance attributes of the Civic Si Coupe can be directly applied to the functionality of a sedan," said John Mendel, senior vice president of American Honda.

A production vehicle based on the Civic Si Sedan Concept will go on sale this fall. The 2007 Civic Si Sedan will mark a further evolution of Civic Si's sixth generation alongside the Civic Si Coupe – and will be the first time a Civic Si is available in two body styles. The Civic Si first appeared in 1986 with subsequent Civic Si models appearing in 1989, 1992, 1999 and 2002.

The Civic Si Concept (coupe version) made its debut at the 2005 Chicago Auto Show, preceding the introduction of the all-new 2006 Civic Si, Civic Hybrid, Civic Sedan and Civic Coupe.
